Connecting Science, Law & Policy for Sustainable Seafood
Natural Justice is a sustainable seafood advisory that aims to support a transition to a more responsible and equitable seafood sector. Leveraging our expertise in fisheries & aquaculture sustainability efforts, science, policies, and legislation, we help organisations creating more capacity and data informed policy-making on seafood sustainability.
What we do
We help commercial and non-profit organisations with informed policy-making for sustainable seafood

Why we do it
The start of Natural Justice Consulting can be traced back to a 33-foot sailing boat in Indonesia, where Eva helped the owner of the boat to navigate it from Malaysia to its Australian home. Witnessing fishers in vessels much smaller than ours, often returning with meagre or no catch, ignited a passion to safeguard the oceans and the communities dependent on them. Drawing on my legal expertise in environmental law and socio-economic human rights, Natural Justice Consulting was established in 2018.

Our Mission
Legislation and government policies play a central role in shaping a long-term vision for a responsible and equitable seafood sector. Scientific research should inform these governmental decisions, as well as the decisions of stakeholders. A deeper understanding of the law, policy and science will enable stakeholders to align their efforts, avoiding duplication and minimising unforeseen obstacles to their goals.
